The College of Arkansas Heart for Public Well being and Know-how has launched a brand new speaker collection centered on public well being analysis, well being literacy and rising media and digital applied sciences.

The second occasion will function Mark Williams, Ph.D., dean of the Fay W. Williams has been a public well being scientist and practitioner for greater than 30 years. He has revealed greater than 200 peer-reviewed articles and e book chapters on behavioral epidemiology, illness prevention and well being promotion in underserved and minority populations. His scholarly works embody seminal research of HIV transmission in injection drug customers, the dynamics of illness transmission in social networks, and prevention of blood-borne and sexually transmitted pathogens.

Williams has been principal investigator, co-principal investigator or co-investigator on greater than 40 research funded by the Nationwide Institute on Drug Abuse, the Nationwide Institute of Psychological Well being, the Nationwide Institute on Minority Well being and Well being Disparities, the Nationwide Institute of Justice, the Facilities for Illness Management and Prevention, HRSA, Stockholm Metropolis Council and the Texas Division of Alcohol and Drug Abuse.
