Pregnant woman rushed to Toronto hospital after car crashes into building – Toronto

A six-month pregnant woman was rushed to hospital after crashing her car into a building in the city’s east end, according to the Toronto Fire Department.

According to firefighters, the collision occurred around 6:30 a.m. Tuesday morning at 9 Neilson Rd., the address of Seven Oaks, a nursing home.

John Pagnotta, a district chief with the Toronto Fire Department, told Global News the woman lost control of the vehicle but “fortunately hit the rock in front of the building,” preventing the vehicle from driving into the building.

According to him, the collision would probably have been worse if the large rock had not been there.

“She probably would have ended up in the building,” he said.
