Thursday afternoon the temperature rises to around 33 degrees Celsius, while it is mostly sunny but foggy. At higher altitudes there is a chance of storms.
A mix of sun and clouds will close out the first week of August on Friday. There will also be a chance of thunderstorms along mountain ridges and peaks as daytime temperatures remain in the 30s.
On Saturday there is an even greater chance of thunderstorms reaching the valley, with highs around 30 degrees.

Because conditions in the valley are bone dry, every lightning strike risks starting a new fire.
Sunday will be sunny and cloudy, with highs around 30 degrees.
There is a chance of showers again on Monday, but drier air will arrive midweek and temperatures will drop above 20 degrees during the day.
