Evan Van Gorp scored four points to give the London Knights a 6-3 victory over the Sarnia Sting in London’s third exhibition game.
Logan Hawery scored the first goal of the game when he passed to Van Gorp from the edge of the Sarnia goal. The Watford, Ontario winger tapped the ball home.
Less than five minutes later, Hawery took a pass in the slot for Henry Brzustewicz to fire home his first goal of the preseason, and the Knights went into the second period with a 2-0 lead.
Kaeden Johnston scored his fifth goal in just three games last season to put London three goals up after just 19 seconds.
Caleb Mitchell, London’s 2024 second-round pick, scored his first goal as a Knight with a nice move off a faceoff that freed up some ice.
Van Gorp then scored two goals in succession in the space of 2:35 minutes to complete his hat-trick and put London 6-0 up.
A power-play goal from Ryan Brown made it 6-1 just before the end of the period.
