Edmon D. Lampson

LEON — Edmon D. Lampson, 86, of Eldridge Street, City of Leon, handed away Friday, Sept. 30, 2022, at house of pure causes.

Ed was born Nov. 1, 1935, in Springville, N.Y., the son of the late M. Lavell and Arlene C. (Cooper) Lampson.

He was a graduate of Pine Valley Central Faculty and Morrisville Ag & Tech in Morrisville, N.Y. Ed and his son, Scott, owned and operated Professional-Sho Dairy Farm in Leon for a few years, and he retired from delivering rural mail for the usPostal Service in Leon.

Mr. Lampson served on the Pine Valley Faculty Board, city of Leon Assessor, previous vice-president and secretary of the Leon Hearth Firm. He additionally served for a few years with the Leon Rescue Squad. He loved elevating his Springer Spaniel canines, in addition to looking, bowling and gardening.

He’s survived by his spouse of 32 years, Louise Herrick (Dziedzic) Lampson; two daughters: Kathy Hillebert and husband, Dale of Cherry Creek, and Lori Lampson and husband, Brian of Liverpool, N.Y.; two sons: Scott Lampson and spouse, Laurel of Randolph and Edmon Timothy Lampson and spouse, Betsy of Lakeview, N.Y.; a daughter-in-law, Karen Lampson of Henrietta, N.Y., three step-children: James (Donna) Herrick and William (Louise) Herrick, all of Bliss, N.Y., and Diane (Greg) Piekara of Olympia, Wash.; 14 grandchildren; and 12 nice grandchildren.

He was preceded in demise by his mother and father; a son, Chris Lampson in Could of 2022; and a brother, Morey Lampson.

The household will obtain family and associates kind 4-7 p.m., Friday, Oct. 7, 2022, from the VanRensselaer & Son Funeral Residence, 14 Church St., Randolph. The Leon Hearth Firm will conduct a service at 6:45 p.m. Friday.

Funeral providers will likely be held at 11 a.m., Saturday from the funeral house. The Rev. Donald Watkins, Pastor of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Randolph, will officiate. Burial will comply with within the Deal with Memorial Cemetery in Leon.
