Brendan O’Carroll from Mrs Brown’s Boys is getting a new BBC show

The 69-year-old has played iconic matriarch Mrs Brown since 2011 and has consistently attracted an audience of more than 10 million people.

Now the actor is expected to write a new sitcom starring another very famous face.

This comes just weeks after he won Best Comedy at this year’s National Television Awards in London.

Mrs Brown’s Boys creator Brendan O’Carroll has a new BBC show with a big name actor

The new program will be titled Shedites and will star comedian Tommy Cannon.

The first episode of the show has already been written and has apparently been a hit with BBC executives.

Brendan told The Sun: “It uses comedy to discuss men’s mental health. The BBC loved the pilot. Hopefully it will be released in the autumn.”

However, he said he has no idea when the show is expected to air on TV.

Despite having a loyal fan base, there are many who hate Mrs Brown’s Boys.

Brenden talked about the mixed reactions from audiences and critics: “I’m the same with music and with comedy, it’s subjective, you know? That’s true.
