How to retune your TV
You'll need to retune your TV to access all these new channel updates.
If you're not sure how to retune your TV, don't worry. This is very simple and usually just requires pressing 'retune' when your TV prompts you to do so. Unobstructed view.
RECOMMENDED READING:
Retuning may vary on different devices, but in most cases, according to Freeview, this can be done by following these steps:
- Press menu on the remote control of your box or TV
- Select 'setup', 'installation', 'update' or a similar option. If prompted for a password, the default code is '1234' or '0000'.
- Select 'initial installation' (also called 'factory reset', 'full retune' or 'default settings').
- Press 'OK' when your equipment asks if it is OK to delete existing channels. The retuning should then start automatically. If prompted, save the channels you find.
Freeview added: “If you have already auto-retuned and this didn't work, you may need to re-tune manually.”
If you're still unsure, you can watch Freeview's retune videos for more details (available on the Freeview website).
