Swan Lake Ballet to Bolton later this year

Crown Ballet brings the classic Swan Lake to the Albert Halls.

A spokesperson for Albert Halls said: “This year we present to you the most famous ballet of all time.

“Swan Lake is one of Tchaikovsky’s finest works, with some of the most memorable ballet music and breathtaking dancing.

‘Swan Lake is a story about two young women, Odette and Odile, who look so strikingly alike that they can easily be mistaken for each other.

‘It is the compelling legend of a tragic romance in which a princess, Odette, is turned into a swan by an evil curse.

‘Prince Siegfried happens to encounter a flock of swans while hunting.

“When one of the swans turns into a beautiful young woman, he is immediately fascinated.”

Full of mystery and romance, Swan Lake has captured the imagination of generations over the years and continues to attract a global audience, young and old.

The performance takes place on October 25.
