Following Keely’s incredible victory in the 800m at the Paris Olympics, where she became only the third British woman to win the event, the 22-year-old has taken a break after sustaining a ‘minor injury’.
The former Leigh Harrier has no further races scheduled for the rest of the year and was one of the big names seen at the launch of Burberry’s spring/summer 2025 range during London Fashion Week.
Fashion Week takes place from Friday 13 September to Tuesday 17 September, making it the biggest event on the London Fashion Week calendar.
The British heritage brand is known for its diverse celebrity fan base and cultivates relationships with fans across sport, fashion, music and film.
Stars descended on London’s South Bank to watch the show in the brutalist halls of the National Theatre, all dressed head to toe in Burberry.
One of them was Atherton’s own Keely, who swapped her running shoes for striking red leather boots to attend the Burberry show.
She paired the boots with an asymmetrical dress featuring the brand’s signature checked pattern, and wore a yellow jacket over the top.
Hodgkinson was joined by fellow Olympian Katarina Johnson-Thompson, who won silver in the heptathlon in Paris.
Other stars at the show included former footballer Rio Ferdinand, England and Crystal Palace footballer Marc Guehi, former Little Mix star Jade Thirlwall, Tob Boy actor Michael Ward and models Georgia May Jagger and Poppy Delevigne.
