Man killed in Toronto gas station shooting – Toronto

A man has died after a shooting at a gas station in east Toronto, police said.

Toronto Police Sergeant Dan Pravica said officers were called to a possible shooting at a gas station near Warden Avenue and Ellesmere Road on Saturday around 10:20 p.m.

A man was found with gunshot wounds and was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Police report on X that a suspicious vehicle fled the area.

A journalist asked Pravica if there was a threat to public safety and whether the shooting was suspected to be random or targeted. He could not say.

“I don’t have any of that information. I don’t believe there’s a threat to public safety, but I can’t confirm it,” he said.

Anyone with information or video footage from the area is asked to come forward.
