Under the title Riverdance, the band hopes to follow last year’s sold-out concert in the church in less than three weeks with a completely different program.
Music director Chris Wormald said: “We have an exciting music program that everyone will know, and hopefully not everyone will be glued to the European Championship football all afternoon and evening!”
As a non-profit UK charity, entry to the Eagley concert is just £5.00, payable at the door.
The marching band is the oldest in Bolton.
The Eagley Band from Bolton was founded in 1850 and is one of the oldest, yet most modern brass bands in the world.
Formed within Bolton’s Eagley Mills, the band was known as Eagley Mills Band for over 120 years until 1971, when the factories sadly closed and the band became known simply as Eagley Band.
The band has enjoyed many competition, concert and broadcast highlights, the most recent of which took place just months ago, in November 2023, when they were asked to perform at Bolton Wanderers FC Stadium to support local celebrity Vernon Kay welcome to BBC Children In Need.
